| The Liberty Hall Fifes & Drums hail from Hampton Roads, Virginia and they are on a mission to preserve the spirit of fifes and drums and to recreate the life, look and sound of the Confederate soldier. They have performed programs for the National Park Service at many major historic sites -- Harpers Ferry, Gettysburg, Sharpsburg, Fredericksburg, Petersburg, Yorktown and Fort McHenry to name a few. They also focus on educational programs, performing at local schools, historical ceremonies, lectures and living history programs.
Liberty Hall Fifes & Drums reproduce the true sound of the Civil War by playing only documented tunes from the period on authentic reproduction instruments. They are among the few that play on unmuffled calfskin heads.
