Very true. Marching takes a hella lot of effort. WAY more intense than your average sport, like: football, baseball, soccer, basketball, ect.. I hear people all the time complain about practice, let me tell you, marching practice effing kills you. Football players wouldn't last a second during a band practice!

I can't really talk because I marched tenors in high school but that was easily the most difficult thing I've ever had to do. I'm a girl and I'm not petite or anything but holy hell. My friend on the bassline gave me shit all winter line season and when marching season came around and he got put on tenors as well...guess who stopped nagging me, and apologized. ;)

This really isn't a huge negative, but I just don't see how you have Crown 2004 and Star 1991 in the same video, category, or a similar comparison. The Star of Indiana 1991 "Cross to Cross" ending is one of the top 3 of all DCI history because of what it was all about and what it wound up standing for. It was George Zingali's final visual statement he ever wrote for drum corps before he passed. It was his final mark.The cross is it! No Pyware!This was PURE GENIUS! All done on the field. Amazing!

@SWgoalie09 Don't get me wrong, I love Spartacus, it is an amazing show, but I find many people saying it's the best, mostly because of the fact it won a ring. I personally do not consider it the BEST show ever. There are many shows I find much better( champion shows or otherwise). I.E SOI 93, MS 88, BD 03-05,BC 05/08. These are just a few.

The corps director (Jim Mason) wasn't the billionaire...I'm not sure what official position Bill Cook (the billionaire) held with the corps....although he DID drive one of the busses...and when was the last time you saw anyone with those resources doing THAT? As for the pressure...nope. Mason wanted to take the corps in a different direction (stage performances) than he could've done on the field in DCI. The contract with the Canadian Brass was signed well before 93 finals.

I think this show was the end of an era for the cavies. I was glad to witness it live, but after this 07-09, and even 10 just doesnt have the same level of design, especially the trademark visual program that started with 99. Part of me wishes that they would go back to their old style, which was more orchestral and less esoteric/visually-oriented.

@godlydrmr yeah ive seen some scores of i and e tenor solos one of which i believe was tim jackson old solo and some solos have written in "stick drop" because dropping a stick and recovering quickly and still making your solo flow gets you more points but like above it also depends on who you talk to

Fantastic - I can now find the egr valve and try it. Local mechanic couldn't locate it at first glance but diagnostics suggested fault as egr valve. As toxic warning light went out I left it at that. Now it's back on I'll have a go myself !

I don't have the technical means to do that. All I can say is the operation is rather simple once you unscrew the metal support of the hose (the strange long screw thingy which is under the EGR, in the very back of the engine rooom). Just pay attention not to hit the plastic connectors of the sensors once you dislodge them. Use a flexible brush like those used for washing the bottles on the inside and use petrol, not gasoline, for cleaning the rubber hoses.

The EGR redirects some of the exhaust gases back into the burning chamber in order to cool off the mixture. This means a little less engine power and much lesser pollution. Without the EGR, the car works just fine, but it makes a thick black smoke which can clog your ceramics in the exhaust drum.

You just solved half of the problem. You need to clean the insides of the rubber hoses and of the metal pipe who are connected with the EGR. Without that operation, you cleaned the EGR valve for nothing.

That screeching can be heard around 4:20. I strongly recomend not to use mallets or other hitting object when removing the EGR valve. You may damage it's electrical parts or even break small bits of it, bits which may fall inside that hole where the valve fits and then you are screwed.

The wistling of the car indicates a problem at one of the drums that hold the belt. If the servodirection pump is hidraulic, it may have a bearing that is about to die. If it is electric, there is a metal support with a wheel on it (their only purpose is to keep the belt tight) whose bearing is about to die. Am I paranoid or there is no liquid in the cooling system? The jar is empty.

@phantomarsh Well, I've heard from people that instructed her that she was just fine. People that march together sometimes don't get along...could this be a case of animosity? Who knows. @ DCI fans in general: it's interesting, but with an all-male snare line that doesn't score well, the center snare doesn't get any negativity from the Youtube crowd. But if it's a female at center, who marched 4 seasons, then she MUST be the problem!

2009 finals were great. There was no way BD should've won, though. Much less get a score of 99.050. There was no way 1930 was near as good as Frameworks or The Zone. They definitely didn't deserve percussion or 1st place. And Cavaliers should've taken at least 3rd.
